the solution dyed solution
This process ensures maximum colour and appearance retention by putting the dye into - as opposed to onto - the yarn. Traditionally, carpet yarn is dyed after it has been manufactured and loses colour over a period of time. By dyeing the yarn in its solution form, the colour actually becomes part of its molecular structure. The best way to illustrate this is shown in our 'carrot and cucumber comparison' below. Solution dyeing brings a number of major benefits:

STAIN RESISTANCE
If a yarn will accept a dye post production, it will accept a stain; solution dyeing eliminates this problem.

DURABILITY
Integral colour means the carpet will maintain its looks longer.

MAINTENANCE
Regular cleaning is essential to the lifespan of a carpet but can also reduce its working life - solution dyed yarns resist the detrimental effects of cleaning better.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
A traditionally dyed yarn will lose its colour if bleached; solution dyed yarn holds its colour all the way through.
